A proud immigrant: born in the Philippines and later raised in New York, my life has always centered around art- and since I could form words, I have never stopped singing.
Actually, even before that, I'm sure my bellowing cries as a baby rivaled that of an opera singer. At least, my mother's ears thought so.
After discovering Theatre and Film at a young age, I decided that, as an Asian-American actress and now multi-hyphenate*** artist, that could inspire the next generation of artists like me.
To participate in a time when art is crucial and revolutionary :
Art is, in itself, an act of resistance!
The one thing I want you to know, is above all:
I am a storyteller.
At my core, regardless of medium, I love creation and the collaboration of the senses and the soul.
Whether it's in the writing, acting, singing - really anything.
To move others in whatever way that sways them?
Nothing brings me greater satisfaction.
I could go on to ramble about the roles I've played or connections I've made, but that's what resume's are for (go ahead, click it, I know you're curious)
